So nice to meet you!
Hello! I am an actor, writer and artist.
I have always been drawn to creating and performing since I was a wee lad. Most recently I have studied at The Asheville School of Film and worked as a Comedy Tour Guide at LaZoom Tours in Asheville. I have a BA in Art & Theatre from Shippensburg University. I've spent most of my recent years writing and producing DIY theatre and community shows.
I first began performing professionally when I became a Puppeteer with P. O'Connor Puppets. We performed The Anatomy of Melancholy at the Diana Wortham & Asheville Community Theatres and at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, GA. From there I studied Circus Arts and traveled and performed with the Runaway Circus, across the United States, Central America and Canada. We toured with such groups as The New Old Time Chautauqua including members of The Flying Karamazov Brothers, Bellingham Circus Guild, and the Emergency Circus.
I have acted on the stage and screen, including in commercials and film. I am currently represented by BOLD Talent Agency out of Charlotte, NC. I have written, directed and performed many collaborative shows and solo acts for over 20 years.
For ten years I taught Circus Arts including Magic, Clowning, Balance, Juggling, Acrobatics, Improv and Physical Comedy with both children and adults. I mainly taught in local schools in the Asheville area, working with LEAF in Schools and Streets. Twice a year I led the kids in performance at the LEAF Festival at Lake Eden on the site of the former Black Mountain College. I also had the pleasure of teaching art and improv to adults in a therapeutic healing community for three years while I was the facility Arts Manager. In that role I lead a crew daily where our main objective was to make art to serve the community and reconnect with art as a vocation.
I have studied Improv and sketch comedy with Kevin McDonald and Voice Over with Chloe Taylor and Sharon Feingold.
I have built puppets and many a show from the ground up. Currently I work in the Art Department as an independent contractor doing Set Dressing and Prop Styling. I have worked on national and regional campaigns including film and still photography.
I am a visual artist working mainly in various styles of printing and painting with acrylics and oil. I have shown and sold my work in Asheville since 2001.
